The ideal machine for core coating, its working principle is developed from the Forberg twin shaft Paddle Mixer with the weightless zone:

• The mixer chamber is charged with material (ie: extruded pellets)
• The machine is closed and air is evacuated from the mixing chamber
• Oil (or other liquid) is introduced
• The vacuum is released slowly while the mixer is operating, and the liquid fills all cavities in the dry material (core coating)
• The machine is rotated 180° and the butterfly valve is opened for discharge
• The machine is rotated back to start
• Typical cycle time is 4 - 6 minutes
